Hoarder House Renovation √

A while back I shared a midpoint update on a house renovation. Well, we finally finished and sold it last month, so I thought I should share some final pictures! I really liked the way the house turned out. Granted, it was a pretty low bar to make it look better than it did when we bought it, but I really feel the final product is a home that is both welcoming and practical. We ran into various snags while it was under contract, so closing was delayed. (And delayed again. And again.) But thankfully everyone worked together to get it finalized, and now the new owners have their dream home! Here’s wishing them many happy years and memories there!

If you have a house to sell that also needs some life breathed back into it, give us a call at 903-965-3248! Or if you want to list your house on the market, I’d be happy to help you with that as well!

Exterior of renovated house
It drives me crazy that I had the blinds shut in one window and not the other for this picture. 🤦‍♀️

That window on the left got broken at some point, and it was not a standard-sized window (so a replacement would be expensive and take a long time to come in). One of the highlights of the renovation for me was finding a perfectly-sized window in a pile of random windows at a building supply salvage store. Love those small wins!!

The kitchen used to be completely closed off! Opening it up made such a difference.

I love the fireplace! We had to have it repainted because we only told the contractor the name of the paint color, and apparently there is a color by that name in both Sherwin Williams and Behr. Unfortunately, they are very different colors.

This is the front room we closed off with French doors. It makes this into a great flex room, perfect for an office, play room, or even a fourth bedroom.

The French doors let in a lot of light to the large master bedroom.
Renovated en suite
We moved the wall so the vanity would be in the bathroom, and it makes the space feel much nicer.
